Oglala Lakota College Archives & Tribal Repository Purpose Statement
The Oglala Lakota College Archives & Tribal Repository collects, preserves, makes available for 
research, and stores in trust the records and collections of historical, cultural, and scientific value 
to Oglala Lakota College and the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

Oglala Lakota College Archives & Tribal Repository Mission Statement
The Archives and Tribal Repository collects, preserves, manages, and makes accessible 
historical and cultural records of the Oglala Lakota people, the Lakota Nation, and other Native 
Americans to promote the knowledge and understanding of the Oglala Lakota people in 
historical, cultural, and natural resources contexts.
Goal of the Oglala Lakota College Archives & Tribal Repository
The Archives and Tribal Repository aims to be an internationally recognized repository for 
Lakota-centered collections and research, education and culturally appropriate preservation and 
conservation.
